Your privacy matters. This page explains, in straightforward terms, what information is collected through this website, why it is used and how the website is kept secure.
Who is responsible for your information?
Sylvia Burnside is responsible for the personal information submitted through this website. If you have a question about your information, please email sylviaburnside@icloud.com.
When you make an enquiry
The enquiry form collects the information you choose to provide: your name, email address, the kind of help you are looking for and your message.
This information is used to:
- receive, understand and respond to your enquiry;
- discuss possible singing tuition, vocal coaching, group work or performance; and
- keep an appropriate record of professional correspondence if you go on to work with Sylvia.
The information is used because it is necessary to respond to your request and, where relevant, to take steps towards providing a service. It is not used for unrelated marketing, sold to anyone or shared for advertising.
How information is stored and shared
Enquiries are stored securely within the website service so that Sylvia can read and respond to them. Technical service providers may process limited information only where needed to host, protect and operate the website. Information may also need to be disclosed where required by law.
Enquiry information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary to deal with the enquiry, maintain an appropriate record of any resulting professional relationship, and meet applicable legal or accounting obligations.

Your choices and rights
You can ask what personal information is held about you, request that inaccurate information be corrected, or ask for information to be deleted where there is no continuing reason to retain it. Depending on the circumstances, you may also have rights to restrict or object to its use.
To make a request, email sylviaburnside@icloud.com. You also have the right to raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
